We are a friendly church community which enjoys worship and social activity in our village of Graffham.  We have learned to be flexible in our offering of worship, sometimes holding services outside in our churchyard with views over the Sussex countryside.  This provides great witness to those who walk or cycle or ride or drive by en route to the South Downs, situated as we are in the National Park.  We serve our local community however we can, to show the love of God is powerful and effective always.

St James' is a real treasure of a church; set in a beautiful hamlet it is also a place of the traditional prayer book - a truly stunning combination!  So if a quiet service is your thing, in a tranquil setting, using the old and poetic prayer book, then Selham is your place.  St James' is part of a three church family; between the churches our benefice offers a wide and varied style of buildings and worship - you are most welcome at all three.  You are welcome to join us for any of our services. The church is also open for private prayer during the day.
